In July 2014, I had a bike accident in which I broke my left brain and injured my right eye’s optic nerve. I had to relearn the basics; to talk, walk, eat. I was a baby in a 65 year-old body. 

During my recovery, I discovered meditation. This 6000-year-old practice that began in India was one of the only things that I was able to do during my recovery. All I had to do was focus on one word, any 3-syllable word with no significant meaning.
